Our Vision

Some years ago, God gave us two pictures.

The first was the sad realization that the church as we know it in North America is very ineffective at doing what it was given to do - making disciples. (See our articles.)

The second was this verse:

"Forget the former things;
Do not dwell on the past.
See, I am doing a new thing!
Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?
I am making a way in the desert
and streams in the wasteland."

                               Isaiah 43:18-19

We believe a new day is coming.

Our Goals

To use the gifts and talents God has given us to help you:

Understand who you are in Christ
Be free to be what God wants you to be
   - freedom from strongholds
   - freedom in personal habits
   - freedom in personal relationships
Build your relationship with God
   - prayer
   - Bible study
   - worship
Build strong, caring relationships with others (both Christian and non-Christian)
   - 1:1
   - in a small group setting
   - in a larger setting
Pass on what you have learned to others
Build disciplines into your life that will sustain your spiritual, mental, social, physical, and financial well-being
Listen to God’s leading in your life
   - through reading and hearing God's Word
   - through private meditation and prayer
   - through hearing God’s voice (John 10:1-14)
   - through input (both logical and spiritual) from other godly people
Come to know what God has called you to be and do (your mission)
Be equipped to carry out your mission
   - release of gifts
   - knowledge
   - experience
Gain the support you need to carry out your mission

Our Beliefs

God is the creator of life.

God loves every person on earth.

Throughout history, the majority of God's created beings have chosen to disobey and ignore him.

God sent his Son so that all human beings might have the opportunity to have an intimate, caring relationship with their creator.

God has a role for each one of his children in building his community (the church) on earth.

The role of people with leadership gifts is to equip the people in their sphere of influence to carry out their mission.

We will all fulfill our tasks only as we work together in large and small teams, supporting, encourage, advising, and inspiring one another.

The result of obedience in these areas—of every part doing its work—is joy.

That the ideal church is a cluster of small living groups (cell groups) that become “family” and work together in various ways.
